Public Voting Now Open For The Jameson Empire Awards 2014
From today, Thursday November 28, movie fans around the world will have the chance to start voting for their favourite films and performances of the year when the ballot opens for the Jameson Empire Awards 2014. The ceremony will take place on Sunday March 30, 2014, in London.
Voted for solely by film spectators, the Jameson Empire Awards is a unique event, ranking alongside other major awards and hot on the heels of the OSCARS® and BAFTAs, offering the cinema-going public the opportunity to get their voices heard.
Voters can choose from films released in the period January 31, 2013 – January 31, 2014 in a range of categories including: Best Male and Female Newcomer, Best Sci-Fi/Fantasy, Best Thriller, Best British Film, Best Film, Best Director, Best Actress and the Jameson Best Actor.
As the Jameson Empire Awards are chosen exclusively by the cinema-going community, they annually acknowledge a diverse mix of movies. Previous Award-winners have ranged from Avatar, Inception and Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy to The Inbetweeners Movie, Headhunters and In The Loop, with last year’s Awards honouring blockbuster sensation Skyfall, reflecting the film’s record-breaking box-office success.
Each year, the Jameson Empire Awards attract some of the biggest names in Hollywood like Daniel Radcliffe, Dame Helen Mirren, Sam Mendes, Sir Ian McKellen, Gary Oldman, Danny DeVito, Michael Fassbender, Keira Knightley, Tim Burton, Russell Crowe, Christian Bale, Matt Damon, Sigourney Weaver, Emma Watson, Tony Curtis, Quentin Tarantino, Kate Winslet or Dustin Hoffman.
